MIT Cambridge Science Festival Carnival
Thanks for visiting our booth! We had so much fun making notebooks correlated to different lobes of the brain! In classic magician style fashion, as we are a neuroscience magic show, we had visitors randomly select a card from a deck with a lobe of the brain on it, and then based on which lobe the selected, temporal, parietal, occipital, or frontal, they were given a prompt to design a notebook based on the functions of the brain that lobe corresponds to, as we also love using analogies for neuroscience concepts, as we are a magic show which uses card trick analogies to explain concepts of neuroscience! For occipital lobe selectors, since it is involved in color perception, we had them make notebooks on their favorite color, for parietal lobe selectors, since it’s involved in the five senses, they made notebooks on their favorite places to be, for frontal lobe selectors, since it is involved in personality, thinking, and attention, we had them make notebooks representing their unique personality! For temporal lobe selectors, since the temporal lobe is involved in language recognition, and emotions, we had them do notebooks on their favorite emotion or aesthetic! Thank you all for visiting our booth, we hope you had fun, and we were so happy to share the magic of neuroscience with you all!
